Los Haitises, Caño Hondo, Montaña Redonda

You have to start early in this program because we have a 1.5-hour drive to our first destination, Los Haitises National Park. Along the way, we will pass through beautiful landscapes where, in addition to small villages, we will also pass by rice fields.

Los Haitises park is a vast area of several hectares and has many mangrove forests. During our excursion, we will cover part of it by boat, depending on the size of the group. We will see untouched beaches, birdlife, and caves inhabited by Taino Indians, which also contain drawings and stone carvings. This magical place was the location of several films, such as Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean.

After that, we will go to the nearby Cano Hondo, which hides a hotel carved into a rock with a completely natural atmosphere and a spa fed by mountain streams and springs. We eat buffet lunch, and if you want, you can take a bath with the locals.

On the way home, we stop at the Montana Redonda, where we go by car and admire the panoramic view. Here we swing and rest in deck chairs, where I take pictures of the rest. You can take very spectacular pictures :)

Afterward, we head back to the hotels.
